well today i got in there car drove to local car wash ,washed the car , then drove about 3 miles and noticed car was skipping kinda like a 02 was going bad , went little father and noticed smoke comeing from hood area pulled over poped the hood, didnt notice anything so i let it set for few minutes, then went about 100 yds on it and smoke was pouring outta hood pulled over and poped hood again and 2nd coil from front on passengers side was smokeing had melted, dunno what caused that at all ! left it at local shop to be looked at

Loose connections on the coils, Ive heard of it before. Also trace the wires back through the harness, it could have a bad spot causing it to short out. When that happens there is excessive dwell causing the coil to be active all the time.
You can put a noid light on it and I be it stats on all the time.

Had this conversation before, according to JWOGG and i agree with his assessment:
"a coil will only fire after it is grounded for a period of time, (dwell), and then the ground is removed, (opened), this causes a colapse of the magnetic field in the coil of wire and induces a voltage, (spark), in the secondary side of the ignition,(spark plug).
if the coil is shorted to ground, it will not fire at all. a short to ground on the ground side of the coil will result in a dead miss on that cylinder and a direct short to ground, causing the coil to melt. it at no time will fire, (spark), at all."

well mechanic called ,said there was two shorts in my harness that they had to fix and blew 30 amp fuse to the pcm ,thx god for fuse's or it would have gotten the pcm plus the 1 coil it did turn into soup ,all fixed
