I want to build up my car. Any recommendations on what i should do? I want to be able to catch up with the new 5.0. Help!?

You're not gonna be giving Coyotes a bad day without a lot of work and money. Supercharger or 125 shot at a bare minimum just to go party. And should that Coyote have a few bolt-on's and a tune, forget it.

3.7's aren't difficult though. They perform fairly close to these cars. Gears (I like 4.10's, but do your own homework there), a few of the right bolt-on's and a tune should be enough to keep a comfortable lead on those cars.

"You're not gonna be giving Coyotes a bad day without a lot of work and money." My thought exactly.

Technology has passed you up.

The ecoboosts and v-6's put out more power than your v-8.

Start saving for a newer 2012 or higher Mustang and trade/sell yours.
