I have alot of noise coming from the trans. I don't know if it is normal or not. I am having trouble going into reverse as well and 5th once in a great while. When i start off in frist you can hear the gears whine very loud. Please Help. thanks

sounds like you need to get a new one. lots of noise is not good..and having trouble goin into rev. and 5th..NEVER good....i would just get a new one so you'll def. know its good.

I just bought the car and it is under a warrenty. I don't know if a trans will be covered under basic coverage or not.

It should be, ask and find out, nothing to lose in doing so. Try checking its fluid too, may be low.

Were do you check the fuild on the cobra it does not have a dip stick?

there are 2 plugs on the passenger side of your tranny. open the top plug and stick your finger in it, you should feel some fluid if you move your finger towards the bottom a little.

how long has the shifter been installed, if the adjustment nuts arent set it can easily pop out gear or not want to go into gear, the noise is also likely coming from the shifter the stock shifter has a plastic-like shift arm and the Steeda has a billet shift arm causing a metal to metal contact on the shifter plate.
