Super easy as long as the glass is up. Remove door panel, remove speaker, remove 3 nuts holding the motor in, reach in through speaker opening and it's yours.

If the glass is stuck down, different story. Still quite do-able, but it's a real bitch for sure. Involves unbolting the regulator assy from the door skin and getting it loose from the motor so you can get that out, then you gotta have someone hold the glass while you get the regulator lined back up so you can reattach it to the door.

You have confirmed 12V to the connector at the motor but it still doesn't work? Or you only have power to the switch but not past there?

You can test the motor by making a jumper wire and running it straight off the battery to the motor. I used some 16/3 Romex leftover from a house project and a couple alligator clips. Polarity is not important, changing polarity only reverses which direction the motor spins.

If you don't have power at the connector that clips on to the motor then you either have a bad switch (although it sounds like you already replaced that?) or wiring fault between switch and motor. Use a voltmeter to probe the terminals on the switch itself, verify the 12V coming in to it and out on each side (up and down positions). Or test the terminals for continuity when "closed", either way should confirm switch operation.

yeah got power to switch and motor, the old motor i took out still worked also took and hooked it to battery and spun up like it suppose to, only thing i havent done is checked the relay ,but one would think if passenger side is working then the relay is fine, but maybe im wrong dunno, im gonna check wireing at door inge tommorrow ,because when issue started if door was open the drivers window would not go up or down, but if closed it would

That last bit about window motor operation being dependent upon the door open or closed, to me anyway strongly suggests broken wire. Probably inside of or very near to the rubber conduit that carries the wiring between the door and chassis.

Just for fun, and because it will be easier to deal with I think, it may be worthwhile to confirm relay operation before tearing into that door... When you hit the switch to run that glass up or down, do you hear a faint click coming from in the dash somewhere? Everybody's car is different but on mine I can definitely hear the relay closing when I hit the switch. Since the passenger side works fine, find and swap the passenger side relay with the driver side. Sorry man I got no idea where those relays are at - they should be on or near the fuse panel, but they could be elsewhere under the dash.
