Default Should I invest into a Cold Air Intake?

Hey guys! I recently bought a 1998 Mustang gt and want to modify it a bit. Since it is a 98, it has only about 200 hp. I am thinking about installing a cool air intake. I would love some advise from you guys about if it adds hoursepower, the sound it makes, and things I should know before/if I get one. Thanks! I really appreciate it.

For just power I would pass as well. You can remove the air silencer for sound. The CAI's don't add much power though they do look good under the hood.

+1 on saving your money unless you are doing it purely for aesthetic reasons. They are fun little cars so enjoy it for what it is but unless you want to dump ooddles o' cash into it, it won't ever be a screamer.

I would rather spend money on Gears and exhaust. and then stop there.

Keep in mind if you lower the gear ratio you'll lose some of your gas mileage on the highway. Gears are IMO the single best thing you can do to make your car quicker, though.
