brake burning smell from engin
after i run my car there is a smell from the driver side of the engine that smells just like brakes when you use them too much. but it is not coming from the brakes? someone help please!</P>

It might be your clutch slipping and burning up. Thats what it smelled like to me when mine was going out. I had a few months left and it would slip randomly until I was coasting into the movies parking lot going about 5 mph at 4500 rpm <IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0">. <edited><editID>mabguru</editID><editDate>37983.0150578704</editDate></edited>

It sounds like your clutch. I know when I'm beaten on my car alot, the clutch starts to over heat. It's not burning up. But when you start to smell it just take it easy for a while. I don't know if thats your problem but it sounds like it is.
