My new (to me early) 2001 GT. Need help, am new to New Edge platform
So I recently bought an (early) 2001 Zinc Yellow GT (has the T45 5 speed manual) my first Mustang was (and I still have it) a 2006 GT auto so I know a good bit about the S197 and three valve platform but not on the New Edge (Fox4) two valve platform, so with that said I have looked most of this up but not found any good answers only very vague ones but
1) I have read to keep the quad shocks but don't know and cant find a good brand to go to that sells a quad shock set up that's not OEM and says "NOT FOR USE ON LOWERED CARS" so what company do I need to go to for that I have checked Lethal Performance, LMR, AM, CJPP, Summit Racing, and Jegs.
2) what is the widest wheel/tire set up I can run WITHOUT rolling the fenders because I don't want to roll them (yet) since the car needs a little TLC before I can go wild with the build. I only plan to lower it 1"-1.5" all the way around
3) Is there any benefit to the upgraded clutch quadrant over the OEM piece?
and I would also like any "DOs" and "DON'Ts" with the New Edge platform.
Thanks for any input, I have included a couple pics of the car in its current state as well..like I said it needs some TLC but I am SUPER excited to start working on it.

1) Get a set of aftermarket LCA's (I have Maximum Motorsports but there are other good ones out there) and put the quad shocks in a dumpster. Look in the Suspension subforum here for the Official Suspension Guide and read through it for a detailed explanation.
2) You can fit any of the 17x10.5 (315 section width tires) or 18x10 (295 section width) commonly available at any of our favorite Mustang aftermarket retailers without issue, unless the car is lowered to the point of being slammed. I have 17x10.5 and a 2" drop (Eibach Sportline springs) and never rubbed even a little bit.
3) Not really, unless the stock plastic one is broken or you have an aftermarket "performance" clutch. The stock quadrant needs to go in favor of aftermarket and a firewall mounted cable adjuster with most aftermarket clutches.
