Default Where's the rumble? mufflers or tune?

On my SVT I have tried Flowmasters and Magnaflows, while they are louder they still dont have the rumble Im looking for and they both have too much resonance so I put my stock mufflers back on. Are there any mufflers that offer more rumble but not real loud and little resonance?, from everything Ive read so far there is no such thing. So this leads to my second question do any of the tunes change the sound of the exhaust?

lazer, to my knowledge, the "sure" way to change your exhaust sound is to change your cam profile. I deal mostly with competition exhaust systems, so street systems don't have the luxury I do. There was a post entered a couple weeks age with the same question. There were a couple good suggestions posted. Hopefully, the other bloggers will come to the rescue. I wish I could remember what post it came under. P.S. there are companies out there that advertise they have a program that will change/modify the sound of your exhaust. Its gonna take more than just swapping mufflers. If you want more rumble you need to do headers and a more open exhaust with larger than stock pipes with an H or X pipe and high flow cat back system.

Thanks for replies, The SVT has the factory H pipe and it was plenty loud with the Flowmasters, but I dont want loud, just a deep rumble and with little resonance. Our engines sound is more of a coarse squawk than a rumble, Im thinking it must have something to do with cam and engine timing. I could get a low rumble out of my old 289 without being loud or having much resonance, Also my F150 with the 5.4 and single exhaust with flowmaster has that rumble-----guess it is just what you get with these 4 cam engines?
