Dash Board Repair
 

I have a gouge in my dash board that I want to repair but don't know what kind of repair kit to use. 2004 GT, definitely not leather but it doesn't look like traditional vinyl.

Could someone tell me what material is in the 2004 dash board and recommend a kit? Gouge is about 3 inches long, 1/2 inch wide, and maybe 1/4 inch deep.

If it's anything like the Ford Fusion, I suspect the dash is more of a foam type, then vinyl or leather.
There's videos online of foam dashboard repair and they do sell kits, but they sure do look labor intensive...
