Clutch noise

Clutch noise
I just replaced the the clutch in my 04 gt with a stage 1 exedy clutch, and ford racing TOB, but my clutch still has a squealing noise until I push the clutch in. Anybody got any suggestions on what this could be?

TOB, these clutches came from the factory with a little preload on them. The throw out bearing rides right up against the clutch fingers and if it is not tight enough it will squeak or squeal until you press the pedal in. If you have an aftermarket cable and quadrant you might be able to give it a little more slack and get the TOB away from the clutch fingers enough that it doesn't squeak like that. But most times with a stock cable and quadrant you need to preload it if you give it to much slack it wont disengage all the way and you'll have a really hard time shifting gears.

I installed a ford racing clutch cable, but I didn’t change the quadrant out it’s still the factory quadrant. I’ve adjusted on the clutch cable multiple time to see if that would make the squealing noise go away, but no luck.

Have you taken any of the slack out with the quadrant? You have to push the pedal to the floor and hold the quadrant still while you lift the pedal a click or two. Its a pita I used a large flat screwdriver to do it. But you have to get some more slack out of it since you used an after market cable and kept the original quadrent.
