I have 4.10 in my cobra and drive it on the highway no problem. My cousin had a 2001 gt he started off with getting 4.10's installed and he seemed to like them for a daily driver, but someone talked him into switching gears with them they had a new set of 3.73's but offered to trade my cousin for his gears and a little boot he agreed and after he installed the gears he said third gear felt better but overall he felt he lost his A**

New acronym- R.T.F.S. READ THE ****ING STICKIES. From now on since there is a gear and exhaust and intake and headers topic on every page, instead of answering just type R.T.F.S.

i have 3.73's and i would rather have 4:10's i would get 4:10's if i were to do it again
i take it you listened to the people on this forum too about what gear to go with. if you're a 5 speed, do highway driving and plan on getting forced induction, do 3.73s. what a joke. majority of people that say that have never had 4.10s or even a gear swap done at all. it makes me so angry. i wish i went with 4.10s.

you'll see like 1-2mpg different in gas mileage on the highway (assuming you don't romp on the gas all the time). so the whole lower MPG is almost BS.

My basically stock 03 Mach1 has the stock 3.55 gears. Not sure where you guys are coming up with these 3.73's. Maybe they are just upgrades, but for fuel economy and a kick assed rear too, stay with the 3.55's. Those Ford engineers knew what they were doing.
I changed the stock 3,55's to 4.10's and it's the best thing I've done as far as mods.

4.10 gears are awfully low. This would be something I'd want for a weekend drag strip car. I put 20K highway miles per year on my stang.
So do I.....daily driver
