Help with buying decision. What's been done to this 2000GT Engine?
I'm looking to buy my first mustang. Found a 2000 GT (which should have the 4.6L V8) about a 2 hours drive away that looks good, but the picture of the engine compartment has confused me. I'm not super knowledgeable (yet), so I'm looking for your help to answer 3 questions.
1. Can you tell from the picture what's been done? (for eg., I notice the alternator is to the right compared to the stock pictures I've seen)?
2. Is there anything that should make me concerned about buying the car and why?
3. Are there any questions I should ask the seller as a result?
Any help truly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Welcome!
Well, what's been "done to" that engine is that the original 4.6 is long gone. It's been replaced with a old 5.0 from another car. Aftermarket ignition, intake tube, and God knows what else.
