Porcelain wasn't cracked. Back to considering that it's a PCM issue? No idea at this point.

Which sparkplugs did you use? I've read that some sparkplugs cause problems so it's recommended to use Motorcraft sparkplugs.

Make sure you dont have any exhaust leaks up stream of the o2 sensors, IE, the exhaust manifold gaskets or where the exhaust pipes connect to the manifolds. Any exhaust leak before the upstream o2 sensors will allow extra 02 into the mix and cause problems.

Go find someone with a good scanner/scope you can check every thing injector pulse, O2 sensors, coils, elec short etc

I was getting oddball errors on my 02 4v. It was stumbling, farting and misfiring at idle, tossing O2 errors etc. and I could find nothing wrong. Almost on a lark I decided to clean the MAF sensor since I couldn't remember ever cleaning it and voila coupled with a new air filter the goofy crap stopped and now the car purrs like a kitten.
