I'm leaning towards the parts listing being in error here. I don't think the part belongs on some model years. Because whoever originally posted these images I found claims that they came from the 1997 and 2001 service manuals (filenames not original, I have edited them for clarity). IF the car has a purge flow sensor, it would be plumbed between the intake manifold and the canister purge valve.

1997

2001

Now, if there's any chance that somebody mislabeled these diagrams I found, and it turns out that your car is in fact supposed to have a purge flow sensor, then look for a red wire coming from the CCRM and a PPL/wht wire from the PCM (and a BLK/wht ground wire). Those are supposedly the wire colors that end up at the wiring connector for the purge flow sensor.

your findings are correct and my assumptions were as well this sensor is no where to be found on the 99-04 mustangs. But every other auto parts store indicates it does even let.com and am.com
but I just wanted to say thank you all for trying to answer my questions and taking the time to help me figure this out and doing the research🙏🏽 So I went and found a evap canister at a salvage yard replaced it and did my drive cycle and no more p0455 code. Went and did my emission testing and passed. Again thank you all for taking the time and looking this up
