I had the front two cast banged out of my stock H pipe and it sounded louder. Nice, but they echo the exhaust sound and it sounds like an exhaust leak. You might as well get an offroad pipe and do it right.

No offence Jiggy, its more an opinion that anything..but mine is that an offroad isnt doing it rite. The sound is terrible and then you have to get mils. Then they go out alot it seems and the computer may still have issues and throw the check engine lite. SPend the extra bucks and buy the pipe with the 4 holes for the 02 sensors and 2 high flow cats for the back pressure yet plenty of exhale for the motor-Shane

I might just gut the front ones and put high flows in place of the rears to keep the exhaust from being too noxious. I have an XCalibrator so that can take care of the CEL.

Thanks for the help guys.

now why are we trying to mod out a crown vic.... well needless to say do it right. I've done a few projects over the past few years half assed and get bitten in the butt because I have to do it again, but right. I know a guy who just put a flowmaster cat-back on his crown vic and a computer chip and it books. Well it was a retired police car but still

You won't lose any torque by removing your cats. It might move your peak TQ higher up in your power band, but won't lose anything.
