I can't help but keep wondering why I all these boys with big bank, and don't know a lot about what's what don't just take it to a shop and be like here's the car, here's the cash, make it fast. Cuz I can guarantee that if you're on here asking questions such as this, that you can't do a turbo yourself. A turbo is a huge amount of work and tuning. Why wouldn't you just take the stang to a shop, say hey, turbo this for me, and get the keys and drive when its done if cash isn't a problem?

Thats the plan eventually. I'm just researching what I want to do and what will be the most reliable in the end. It also does'nt help when you have a nagging wife that does'nt have the same love for modifying cars as I do. In her words it "a waste of money". But we know better.

i think it would be a hell of a lot easier/cost effective to just build the existiing engine, and get 450-500 out of it. money isnt an option right....turbo?

The 4.6 and 5.4 are the same size. The 5.4 just has a taller deck height.

easiest thing is trade the 04 gt in on a 03 04 cobra. then do some up grades you shouldn't have any probme pulling 5 or 600 hp out of a cobra.
