I am going to say ya its worth it I would do it your self I would pull the motor out of the car to do it also I have a 99 gt and I can have the motor out in 2:20 by my self!!!!!!!!!! I would by the heads for aroud 700 and while your at it put some cams in it and buy a pi intake of ebay for cheap and a set of gaskets and bolts and call it done. U will like the results

im selling my pi intake manifold and complete heads off a 2000 gt. heres the link to the auction from what i have heard it is definitely worth it. your engines virtually becomes the same as the 99+ except for the pistons. this will bring you up to the same power level too. if you can wait and save up some more money, buy vt heads or get a port and polish done on the pi heads, get a new camshaft, and a tune will definitely get you a HUGE gain in performance over stock. id say at least 80hp

my .02 now go bid on my pi heads and intake

Is the pi head swap smog legal in California. Please respond. I am interested in doing the swap but do not want to waste my money.

Are NPI heads that ****ty? Couldnt you just P&P them and make them flow better than the stock PI's? Does PI intake fit NPI heads, or do you have to have PI both?
