Default brand of gears

I am ordering my 4.10's and was wondering if there was a preference between Motive and FRPP gears. I have heard that Richmond whine, but is there a problem with either of these other two? The price difference is pretty large if there is not a big difference between the two brands.

I used FRPP but Motives should be fine.

Uh, FRPP gears are not the same as they used to be. Their price has been jacked up like 35$ and they have a different part number. Also, they physically look different than older ford gears... I'm talking about the ones with an A at the end. I don't know for sure if they are as quiet or strong as the older ones.

Motive Gears as just as good as FRPP gears when they are shimmed correctly by the installer. It's best to find someone who has successfully installed Motive gears without any problems.

FRPP are supposed to install alot easier with less shimming than the others. Im not saying that motive is bad, but I would go with FRPP. The cheapest place ive seen them was at www.gefracing.com 4.10`s for $180.00.
