Your looking for a new clear coat?

Could be anywhere from $500-1,000.

The problem here is that in order to get good adhesion you will need to scuff the paint, however if you put clear over scuffed clear or scuffed color it comes out looking like crap, you will see all the scratchs and scuffs. I would take it to a good detailer and let them look the car over, they may be able to buff it and get you back to as good as new. Unfortunatly paint is like anything else in the car world, it's a system made up of parts that all must work together, and with paint jobs there are no short cuts.

Never go with a cheap paint job. Youll be sorry. A good paint job will run you about $2500 give or take. Make sure the shop is using a quality paint before you let them do the work. Sikkens is one of the best paint brands for a car. We used it in the shop I worked in. Every car came out of the spray booth looking like new. No car ever came back to the shop with a paint related problem.

I'll paint it for half of what anyone else charges. You pay for the spray paint and I'll do the work. Cans of spray paint are only like 3 dollars. Go buy a couple and I'll paint it. You will have a totally diff paint job then any1 else guaranteed!

the amount that a shop charges will varry so don't be scared off by a shop charging 1500.......ask them to let you see the booth.....you'll be able to tell a lot by the condition of the paint booth and the shop on your way through....

but he's right about a super cheap paint job.......never never go to maaco or anything like that......
