difference in cobra and gt exhaust
its my understanding that the exhaust for a 96gt and 96 cobra are not the same because of the 32valve in the cobra. is that right, know

RE: difference in cobra and gt exhaust
The mid pipe and cat back may be the same, but the factory exhaust manifolds will be different because the heads are different. Other than that, the IRS (don't know if IRS was on '96) has different routing for the cat back.

RE: difference in cobra and gt exhaust
Just look under the rear end. Stick axle or half shafts. I'll take you about 2 seconds to know.
I think the '96 had 305hp, so I hope you can run 17s! I hope that was a joke. LOL |
RE: difference in cobra and gt exhaust
yeah, when i first got it, i was showing my friends and they were like damn, i'll bet its fast, so i told them it would run 17s just for laughs

RE: difference in cobra and gt exhaust
Got it. I tell folks that my goal is 0-60 in six seconds.

RE: difference in cobra and gt exhaust
Your cobra does not have IRD. The only factory mustangs that had IRS are the 1999-2002 cobras, 2000 cobra R and the 03/04 cobra.

RE: difference in cobra and gt exhaust
well i checked the mac website because i was going to buy a mac prochamber for my car, apparently they don't make one for the 96 cobra because the transmission crossmember is in a different spot than on the 96gt. I HATE THIS BULL$&*$. looks like i'll be going BBK O/R H
