Default rearend help!

i have a 2000 gt...5 speed......i have been hearing a roaring noise in the rear of my car...took it to one of the best shops around home here and the owner drove my car down the road and came back and said that some bearings were goin out in the rearend i think.....so i guess i will go ahead and get soem gears as well as the master bearing kit......would that seem like something that will help this problem and aggravating noise ive been hearing for about a week...
last question.....the guys at the shop told me to go with 4.10 gears.....and ive read on here 4.30s and some have said 3.73.......i need ur guys that actually have the gears in ur 5 speed gt.....to help me out with which to go with....what rpm will i be at at 60 mph...what gear will i b in at the end of a quarter?

I had a shop tell me once I had a bad bearing in my axle on one of my other cars and it turned out to be a u joint instead. Check yours out. That is cheaper than bearings to fix.
