4.10 gears

Default 4.10 gears

OK so everyone has pretty much convinced me to go with the 4.10 gears and put in a locker while we are at it. Questions- will this make the rear end durable enough tohandle slicks, or should I stay with drag radials at the track? What does the locker do to the traction control and the computer?

Default 4.10 gears



If you go with a Auburn Locker. You will be good well into the lower 10s. Your axles are another story.</P>

OK- so 4.10s and locker it is, what about the traction control and computer does that get by passed? Fine if it does I never use anyway but how does the locker affect handling on the back roads or is it exclusive to the strip, any replies would be appreciated?

A locker locks your rear. So both tires move at the same speed in a straight line. But when you turn. You know the thing the outside tire spins faster, cause it has more room to cover. So in the turn it unlocks. I hope this helps you under stand it a little better.
