Lowering my Gt

Lowering my Gt
Am thinking about lowering my Gt vert, but i would then like to go with deep dish bullitts, and a Magnapack system, can anyone tell me if i will still be able to get the car lowered and fit the deep dish 17's without any rubbing issues or exhaust clunks?

You shouldn't have a problem, my buddy has a 2in. drop and full exhaust on his 96 Cobra and there are no problems with it, and he was running a set of Cobra R's that are almost equal in size as the deep dishes with no rubbing either. As a shop to see what they say but you should be okay!

You should not have any problems, I have the Eibach pro kit with deep dish bullitts with a 285/40/17 on the rear without any problems at all. I am thinking that next tire I get will be a 315/50/17 for the rear.

Dude....what else do you have done to your car to be dynoing at 298...do you mean wheel hp or flywheel hp?

RE: Lowering my Gt
As long as we're discussing Vert suspension I have a question. Were the 98 GT vert's (or any verts for that matter) "detuned" for an easier ride, because it seems to me that while the front suspension takes bumps with a single bounce, the rear end sort of chuckles over the bumps, and it gets a bit disconcerting at high speeds. I haven't driven a coupe so I have no comparison. Also, what sort of suspension alterations would remedy the problem (I'm not looking for a drastic lowering but I suppose an inch or so would be nice, especially to compensate for Ford's assumptions about leaving space for winter chains). Thanks.
