Default Is this driver SUPERMAN? (Stock GT 12.2)

WOW! ok I just had to shine some light on this subject...

http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...ts/index3.html

^He is running.... 12.2's(low 12s) with a N/A GT with only 285 HP to the wheels and 299 torque to the wheels!

He has...

STOCK intake manifold.
STOCK Heads

All he has is CAMS, 4.10 Gears, tires, suspension and flywheel and Exhaust

Why do I say Stock GT? well lately there has been a little buzz going on with the whole STOCK THING...
and this car is more stock then Code's at 12.66 (meaning no insult to Code)
Is he stock? no. not in my eyes... I am on the bandwagon that calls stock... STOCK aka From the Factory.

I mean wow. So only 285 HP to the wheels and he is Running LOW 12's.

lets talk on this...
I mean what is he was to get a p-51 intake and some heads? or even head work done?
wow.

and he placed 4th!... there are 3 faster N/A GT's. (but his LOW HP/Torque to the wheels is what I am impressed with so much)

for sure an inspiration to me.

Nope, not superman...just drag set up suspension and a well prepped track with slicks and light weight wheels. Also, look at his race weight, just a tick over 3100 lbs. My race weight is right at 3500 lbs. Roughly for every 100 lbs of weight reduction you lose a tenth.

^Yes yes indeed.

that is my ultimate question to you my friend Code...

why do you not get a lightweight K member, and any other lighter components you can find?
perhaps even the hood that only weighs 12 lbs? (carbon fiber stang hood)

I mean it says First Place winner has a K member etc... this kid it did not show him having a K member under mod list. and he has the stock hood as well.

WOW. yes, AWSOME is right.

My car is too much of a daily driver. I have to transport 2 kids around from time to time, so that rules out a rear seat delete (don't think I haven't thought about it), and I like my creature comforts (full interior, leather, etc) I have just about spent all the $$ I am going to spend on this project. If I spend any more, it will be wet kit with a 200 shot...then HELLLLLLO.....10's.

not superman more like mighty mouse with how light his car is.

ppl forget that with a really light car and suspension you can pull great 60's leading to great 1/4 times. yes those are great times but if i didn't have stock suspension and it was all done up and i was launching at 6,000 rpms i'd like to see where i'd be

Agreed. "Stock" means freaking Stock. That car is far from it.

Racing suspension is a huge key to his performance, and just because he has barely any engine work done doesnt mean the car is stock.
