I have no respect for a V6 mustang, get the GT. Insurance will be about the same for either car.

if you can get a mach1. Why would you buy a 04 gt, why not get one a few years older and save some money. noone will be able to tell the difference. If you get an 05 dont buy a 6er.

I agree with everyone else on this one. I waited till I could afford the GT (and the insurance) before I got a mustang. I have always said they need to rename 6er's to Pony's instead of Mustangs, not even the same car in my book.

ORIGINAL: sickspeedgt

depends how old you are, if you are under 25 your insurance will be sky high with a GT
NOT! insurance was cheaper on a GT than a v6 for me and i'm 23.

get the GT!! the 05 v6 has some *****, but nothing beats the rumble and torque of that v8!

05 6ers run 0-60 in 6.9 sec with an auto and the quarter in 15.3

its your call, drive them and see what you like better, but the 05s have all new platforms

Let me quote my good friend Ingrexco from MSprotege..."Jake... If you pull up in a v6 mustang..I don't care what you say.. I will back-hand you upside the face..." Possibly the best advice i've ever recieved... Get the Gt.... don't worry about insurance... I didn't and it went down from my tsi awd. Enjoy.

THE CHOICE IS REALLY UP TO YOU BUT I SAY GET THE GT. YEAH MORE GAS AND MAYBE INSURANCE, BUT FOR SOME REASON ALL OF THAT IS IGNORED WHEN DRIVING IT. PLUS YOU WILL GET TIRED OF EVERY V8 STANG FROM 1964 UP BLOWING BY YOU. TRUST ME I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE TO REALLY WORK MY "OL' GAL" JUST TO GET AWAY FROM THE 05 6 CYL. AND FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN THOSE V6 STANGS DEPRECIATE AWFULLY. WHAT EVER YOU GET HAVE FUN. AND IF YOU DO GET THE 2005 V6 GET THE MANUAL IT WOULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE AND GO AHEAD AND THROW A ZEX KIT ON IT TOO. THEN YOU COULD SHOCK A LOT OF PEOPLE PULLING UP REVVING THEIR ENGINES
