Engine"Sputter" problem when at high RPM's
hey i a problem with my 98' GT. When im getting on it, when it gets in the higher RPM's it usually(not always) kind of makes a sputtering noise and it kind of misses a little bit. This is really making me mad an i was wondering is anyone else had the same problem and if you guys could help me out. I was thinking i might need to change the plugs and plug wires? Please help me!!!
thanks, sean

RE: Engine"Sputter" problem when at high RPM's
My guess is the sputtering is more of a ping, correct me if im wrong. I noticed mine doing it during the weekend when the rpms are starting to get high also. I switched to 89 octane monday night when I filled up and havent noticed anymore, and I have got on it several times to make sure it wasnt doing it anymore. So looks like 89 octane gas for me during the winter. I think its something to do with the winter grade gas that these mustangs dont like, or maybe we both got a back batch of gas.
