Engine restorers?

have you guys ever tired any of the "engine restore" prosduct?
its the stuff that you add to your engine oil at an oil change. if you have over 40k on ur engine it says it restors power n all the shiAT..

its highly recomended from what i heard through others

what do u guys think/ if u used it do u like it?

Have never tried it, and probley would not use until I got closer to the 75k mark. Up until them I would just use some injector cleaner and maybe some of that "sea foam" stuff.

I used "resotre" on my friends 5.0 cause it was startin to feel sluggish and it did the trick. The only thing is it dosnt work right away it takes some time to get into the engine.

Junk, IMO. Might be a short term fix for a bigger problem. Personally the only thing I ever add to my enginer is oil;). Maybe fuel injector cleaner but thats it.

[sm=noooo.gif].... not a good idea man... those are like the "fix a headgasket" in a can crap... All the do is make you engine's gaskets swell. I ran a internal engine cleaner once in my car, then switched to a full synthetic. This works rather well by cleaning out the deposits and and biuld up on the valves. I would reccomend that instead, you have low enough miles on you car that you won't have to worry about leaky gaskets just yet...

Havent used that but have used Valvoline syntec full fuel system cleaner. It works well.

I only used fuel injector cleaner. I throw in some octane once in a while, I don't know why though. lol.
