Lookin to get an 03/04 Mustang GT...
Ok guys, my 01 Grand AM GT has been totalled! (Sister crashed it, shes okay), now the insurance company is paying off my loan and I can go out and get anything I want!! I was looking into stangs a while back, but the dealers never gave me the trade in credit i wanted...
Anyway, onto the car...
Im lookin for 1 that has low miles (Under 20k) and is an 03/04. What price range should I be looking in?? I live in a High profile area where everything including housing is expensive so its not easy...
Anyway, I found this...
http://tinyurl.com/bccke
I just need a few tips basically, am I getting ripped off?? Should I try for a lower price? (Obviously)...

RE: Lookin to get an 03/04 Mustang GT...
Doesnt seem like a bad price to me at all.
It has very low milage and seems to be in pretty good condition.
I bought my 2000 GT Convertable for 12K, with 40,000 Miles on it. I basically stole the car, I could re-sell mine right now with about 44K miles on it, and I bet I could get around 18-19K for it. I have seen many 00-01' sellers looking for around 18K for their GT's with higher milage than mine and no where near as nice.
So with that being said, if your looking into the 03-04' range, with under 20K, I would say $18K is about right. Other people on here are going to tell you to look into a Cobra, and that would be a good idea is you have the money. But a 03-04' Cobra with under 20K miles, you then start looking well into the 20K Range.
I would definitely go on a search though, you could probably find a nice one for cheaper. Just make sure you do all your research.
Good Luck.

Price seems to be about right for retail with those low miles. Good luck but look around a little more. Check out the prices on the GT`s at www.carmax.com to get another look at what they go for.

Ya I have been researching, the thing is...My Insurance company only covers the Rentacar I have (06 Dodge Dakota 4.7l V8 Magnum) for a certain amount of time. So I HAVE to get this car within the next 2 weeks.
It seems like the BEST Priced Stangs are over 100 miles away from me!! I mean they're are TONS over here, just very pricey. The one I showed you guys is only like 30 miles away and im gonna check that out on Friday...
Other than that, im gonna keep looking...
I WAS interested in a VW GTI as well, but Ive been hoooked on stangs for a while, I might as well bite the bullet and just get one already!

If you can spare a few extra thousand dollars total, and a little extra on insurance get a 03-04 mach 1. They perform much better out of the box, and they also look badass.
If you can't spend around 20 grand or a little more, thats not a bad price for that gt.

i don't know if the price is high or low.. it sounds pretty decent imo..
i looked everywhere for my stang (just bought it a few hours ago).. so i don't know if this'll help, but these are the main 4 websites i used
www.craigslist.com
www.autotrader.com
www.cars.com
www.car.com
i ended up getting one on craigslist..
anyway, good luck! and make sure to get a thorough inspection done by a professional BEFORE you buy the car..
