Plastic or chrome does not matter...people will tell you the chromed one will get hot, thats untrue. Yes, thas the one I have, and the filter goes in the fenderwell where the air is cooler. Get it now!!</P>

Any metal will hold more heat than plastic, thats why they make the plastic intake. Roush installs their plastic version on their cars... As fast as the air is traveling through the pipe, I doubt it is warming the air much at all..</P>

I still think that is BS, I have touched it after running my car and is never hot..plastic dont get hot, it melts!!!!</P>

Yeah man, mine melted all over the engine, and I had to scrape it off with a flathead screwdriver. Did you ever cover the subject aboutelectricalconductors, HEAT conductors..ect.in elementary school? Just curious smarta$$

yeah, I'm leaning back torwards the metal ones, they do look a hell of alot better plus the fact that the air is moving so fast it shouldnt really matter.
