Default GT vs Cobra’s suspensi

Just wondering how difficult and if its even worth it to do a cobra rear suspension swap on a 02 GT. Being a import guy i like great handling cars. The cobra's multi linked independent suspension set up just seems like it be ultimate suspension upgrade. Is there a reason why the GT is still using a solid axle bar-linked suspension? Thanks.</P>

the cobra uses the independent for better ride quality and handling....the GT's solid axle is much stronger...you'll have to decide what your looking for from your suspension</P><edited><editID>Black Horse</editID><editDate>37992.7065509259</editDate></edited>

Cobras have a indepented rear suspension (IRS). You don't want that. THe Cobra guys that really run their cars. Usually change back to a soild rear axle.(Thats what a GT has).
