Little black piece of rubber in between the filter and the fender. If you don't have exhaust you will hear the intake suck after you remove the silencer, kinda cool for a free mod. Check out this link-

Yup...It's kinda like a snorkel. But when I got my car I took mine off an didn't notice a thing. IDK about anyone else who has tried this but my removal did nothing for me...
