Default lowering kit for 02 Mustang GT

I have stock 02 mustang GT and in the process of looking for lowering kit (springs + shocks)... Do you recommend any brand and why? And how much would it cost around with labor? I recently got a quote for Eibach Pro-System + labor + alignment for $980... Is this alot?</P>

Why shocks, the stock ones should be fine, they are still new. I only installed the springs (eibachs progressive). Spend around 500$ including labor, thats a lot of money they are charging you there.</P>

Alignments are 60 bucks, install should only be around 200-300...</P>

What's the price of your lowering kit?</P>

If you are lowering your car, you need shorter shocks to even out with the springs. If you're lowering it more than 2", you also need caster/camber plates.

put 'em in your self...it doesn't take long at all.... rear springs take me about 10-15 mins total....front ones are a little longer, maybe 20mins per side<edited><editID>Black Horse</editID><editDate>37993.7558217593</editDate></edited>

Eibach Pro-System kit cost around $670, i think... I guess i need to shop around more...</P>

NOt too sure about how it works, but i was told that i need the Sporting shock to preventthe carfrom bouncing too much... Also, it's better for the car...</P>

I want to lower my car around 2inches for better handling and looks, what do you recommend? What brand andkits required?</P>

Take Eibach kit is great. I would get it from a mail order company. Then shop around for someone to installe it.

Whatever you do PLEASE dont do what this idiot i seenm at autozone did the other day to a perfectly good marquis and thats to TORCH THE SPRINGS!I see this s**t and its makes me sick to my stomach to know some people still have this mentality and are driving on public streets in these highly unsafe vehicles! This thing was so bow legged in its stance that it was wearing the tires out on the edges! This guy wasnt riding on a full tires tread width with the two tires together!I asked him who f**ked his car up and he said i did it looks good doesnt it.I said no its unsafe and looks very ghetto why not just buy a kit and he couldnt shake the idea that he actually did a good thing so i just laughed and went about my buisness.
