Best Radar Detector???

RE: Best Radar Detector???
Another cheaper option is a detector from PNI, I bought my Traveller II for $100 1 1/2 years ago and it has easily saved me it's cost again and again.
It isn't as good as say a Escort or V1 but it is still a very reliable detector and it can run on 12v or cordless.

gonna agree with PJ, cause all the cops do is pull the trigger and radar you, it's not a constant thing. if you're the only car on the highway, you're ****ed with or without a detector.

It would be still helpful for the permanent radar setups they sometimes have around my area. You can run through the radar and then the cop in the unmarked volvo is waiting for your down the road....

RE: Best Radar Detector???
They're not really worth it. These days it seems that police are going away from radar and laser guns and into more subtle hidden electronic vascar type systems (using security type laser beams that are pretty hidden or at really low levels). The problem is that there is no way to prevent this as long as your car is still running on rubber. The cops can be pretty far away. These systems (like ENRADD) are accurate down to .1 mph and can't be detected or fooled. There isn't even a working theory yet as to how they can be fooled. This is how it is in PA... Not sure about other states.

In the past Ive used a radar/laser jammer which doesnt let you know there is a trap, it just blocks the cops from getting an exact mph which in turn ive fought and won twice in court. Honestly you can't really guestimate speeds so It's down to your word and thiers. But on the highway forget it I've never gotten a speeding ticket I either drive relatively calm or to the point where all they can do is radio ahead and by that time I'm on the offramp of the next exit. Immature but it works for me.
