I appologize for this post, I somewhat had a post earlier that was somewhat similar to this one, but anyways. I was wondering what type of cam I should put in my 03 gt. The car is a daily driver and I want good performance, with the great rumble at idle that come from a cammed motor. I do want the functionality of a daily driver to still be kept. I was looking at VT Cams, I am torn between stage 1 and stage 2's. Do stage 1's still have that muscle car idle I'm loooking for? Anyone with aftermarket cams please post!! It would be greatly appreciated.

Stage 1's, or look into Comp's selection. They have an xe262 that should fit ur needs. You truly have SO MANY more other mods to do before yo worry about cams. I think you should hold off on them until after you get other things done to find out what type of power you really want from you car; therefore making a better cam selection.

VT Stage II here...on my DD. Love the cams but remember if you go this big you'll need to replace the springs too...make sure you have plenty of gear too...they love to rev!

My mods are a fenderwall cai, underdrive pullies, a catted xpipe, and flowmaster cat-backs. I'm doing longtube headers, throttle body and plenum soon as well. Besides cams, what else should I get besides cams? I'm considring a 75 shot of nitrous just to let you know

Ok, I'm thinking stage one's with a 75 shot, will the stage one's give me that great sound at idle I'm looking for? Anyone have a soundclip with a stage one gt?

Just installed my VT stage 1's today. noticable idle, no clips yet. Fairly easy install, good power gains with no low end loss. I was satisfied with them. I was thinking the same about the Nitrous in a 75 shot. Car pulls hard all the way to redline which is set at 6500rpms.

1st scrap that cai for a C&L m.a.m., true flow pipe, & C&L or Accufab plenum.
2nd take out the cats and replace them cat-eliminator pipes.
3rd GET A 4.10 OR A 4.30!
4th GET SOME DR's!
5th #4 & #5 are interchangable. Now would also be a time to do the whole rearend.
6th full length subframe connectors
7th See a pattern here? I haven't even listed everything you can do to wake you car up before going with a pair of bump sticks. Decide what you want from you car first. Do cams when you are almost done, so you can have the best cam for your car. Comp actually offers grinded cams especially for blowers & spray. Take a look. However, my xe270's would really be up for some supercharged exercise. Who knows, I may eventually go that route.
