The track time I posted is with the stock converter and trans. I plan on better times. I got this car in June and bought a S/C by July. I had problems with the blower making excessive noise after a week. I sent it back to Vortech and they replaced the bearing. I got it back and reinstalled it, went out for a test drive and the first time I put it under boost the noise came back (ugh). So I sent it back again. There was nothing wrong with the install either. I was unbelievably pissed. Anyway after installing it the third time it was September and I only had one day at the track. I only got two runs in and the time I have posted was the second. I may get a built trans and better converter someday. I'll see how this one holds up. I'm happy at the moment with the cars performance. I definitely don't need 800 or even 600 HP to have my fun. Maybe someday when I recover from all the money I spent this summer I will buy a DSS short block. DSS is close to my House. There's alot of room for improvement but that's the fun. I also want my car to be a bit viscous but very drivable.

800 hp out of 15 lbs of boost is very possible if the engine and tranny can hold it. My buddy has a 93 GT with a 331 stroker and T76 turbo and he made 776 rwhp out of 14 lbs of boost. Only problem is that it wasnt a ball bearing turbo, so my KB walked him every time we raced.

that's sweeeeet. well written article too. "If you're thinking that 800 rwhp (approximately 1,000 hp at the flywheel) is too much for a street car, then perhaps you need to check what's inside your pants." hahaha
