Cold air intake

RE: Cold air intake
you should definately just get a filter and modify the silencer, cause if you buy a CAI kit, your basically just paying the extra couple hundred for the tubing that you really dont need. the filter will work just as well.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said here. I originally removed the snorkel (or silencer, whichever one you want to call it) from the airbox. I got a UPR CAI later on down the road and it really wasn't all that expensive. But like most people have said here, the performance per dollar isn't all that great. But the chrome does dress up the engine bay a bit if you are in to that sort of thing.

Autobadges.com You don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Like exhaust systems velocity is more important than overall flow dynamics. The stock intake tube is big enough and by adding a K&N it is equal to a overpriced CAI.
Look at the diameter of the intake tubes, now look at the size if the inlet on the intake manifold.
Velocity > Size
Understand?

It's called marketing, they make money off of people who don't know better.
Every true SN95 gear head should know that CAI are right below Cat-Back's in the adds no real horsepower list. The CAI is for looks and the Cat-Back is for sound.
