Default Need Radiator Fluid, BUT NO LEAKS

Sup guys, I'm in michigan where it gets as cold as like in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" and all summer I only had to put radiator fluid in my 96 Stang (GT no mods) like once. Now I am about to store it but winter crept up on us here and I'm going to have to drive it for like a week longer but, I am finding my coolant light coming on, but when i had it on a hoist I didn't see ANY leaks of no kind it was bone dry underneath it. So I'm trying to figure out where in the hell is the coolant going to if its not leaking out.[sm=wtf.gif]

Any one had this problem?

your manifold is probably leaking. check around it, and see if it's leaking onto the top of the block between the heads.

Do you smell any coolant? Do you see any coolant stains (white/yellow markings) anywhere on the engine?

Take a flashlight and look underneath the intake valley. A cracked intake will often allow coolant to collect in the valley of the engine. A headgasket leak is a possibility...but it has to be leaking somewhere.

Your spark plugs will tell if you if you are getting a internal leak into the combustion chamber. Of course, your oil will tell you if the two fluids are mixing. See what you can find there then get back with us.

****KK, you guys just ruined my day. J/k

Okay this is what I have observed, when I had it on the hoist like 2 or 3 times with my mechanic there was no white or yellow stains around the engine. Also, where should i look for the coolant smell? Because my oil always looks good and when I had it on the hoist we didn't smell anything funny.

The messed up part about it is that I have another post going about my mechanic told me that I was getting a random misfire code and I'm going to need plugs and wires. But from what I'm hearing from these guys is that he should have been more specific than that. I probably should just buy my own code reader from Autozone and tell you guys myself.
