Short throw shifter
Does anyone know if installing a MGW shifter will void my transmissions warranty? it has some resistance when im trying to shift from 1st to 2nd, but its usually only when its cold. it occasionally occurs when my car is warm as well

RE: Short throw shifter
If something ever goes wrong with your trans, then put in your stock shifter and your warranty will be good. If they see the aftermarket shifter, then they can void the warranty. Depends on the dealer. Try putting the stock shifter back in to see if its still hard to shift. Possible you didnt install the new shifter correctly.[&:]

i have an MGW and it seems to be easy enough that you could just whip it off and put on the stock one if a problem should ever occur.
