Hey, all.
I recently grabbed an '02 GT, and am curious about
specs. Can someone tell me the basic numbers for this
car, to include what RPM I should expect to see in various
gears at various speeds?
It's got an aftermarket exhaust, make unknown, and
I suspect it's got a bit more done to it. The last GT I owned
was an '87, so it's been a while, and I don't know anyone
around here who can tell me if it has more than the exhaust
changed from stock.

260 hp with no torque

factoy you have 327 gears

there is a gear calcualtor in the stickies up top that will giver you your rpm i am running about 2200 on at 65 70 mph.

2002 GT = 4.6-liter overhead-cam V8, GT output is listed at 260 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and 302 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. I believe the rear end is still a 3.55:1 with a T3650 5 speed manual. Gear Ratios are 3.38, 2.00,1.32,1.00,0.62 reverse is 3.38.

With the aftermarket exhaust, depeding on the compents and brand, you may have +/- 10 hp/torque.

Rear gears are 3.27's.

Mach1/Cobra's are 3.55

I didn't think Ford changed the rear gear in 2002 & 2003, my build sheet for my car says 3.55. Maybe an option I was unaware of?
