Cracked Intake Reimbursement made!
My local Ford dealership called me this morning and informed me that there was a check awaiting me. Apparently the suit was finalized on December the 6th, 2005. I am not sure if the manifold webpage has been updated or not. I will pick up my check today.
Seems that each dealership will receive a notice with all applicable vins listed. They will run your vin through the database to see if it applies. If it does...it will alert the user...the rest is cake.

really? I have a 97 gt that appears to be totally affected. Give me all the info! My intake has not cracked yet but I want to check if mine has ever been replaced. I guess them running the vin will do that.
Let me know! Last time I went there I asked about it and the service writer said to have it done and try to have corporate pay for it...

You have an 01, it wouldnt matter; the last year they used the intake manifold was 00.

^^^^^^ You are totally WRONG, I also have a 01' and have the plastic crossover. They changed over to the aluminum mid-way through 01'

No kidding the cracked intake is old news, but the NEW news is that the suit is final and the appeals are through. Ford lost...money in everyone's pocket.

ok so they replace it with a manifold with an aluminium crossover... well mine still has a plastic crossover! I talked to a guy at my Ford dealer and he said they wouldnt' do it. Let me know what I gotta do to have it done. ::sigh::
