Default Shift Kit ?

I want to get a performance shift kit for my 98 gt auto, and i would just like to know if anyone has had any experience with one in there car. also what brands are recommended and do you guys know any sites where i could get one for a decent price. thanks in advance.

just get a tuner first, firm up your shifts, and if you still need more after that, go with a shift kit. but do the tuner first cause it might save you some money (unless you don't care about $$)

Have you changed out your gears or torque converter yet? Gears are the best bang for the buck in the auto. Its about like putting a supercharger on your car difference..well..almost

auto with 3.73's a good stall (2600-3200) and ashift kit owns. Don;t forget to get a trans cooler with your shift kit man!

2800 falls into the (2600-3200) range. 4.10's and a 2800+ stall would be rough on a DD man.

Yes..but 2800 is more specific..and I love my 4.10s on my daily driver. If it were a standard I would agree with 3.73's but being an auto..4.10s are the lowest one would go...in my opinion..of course

while on the topic of shift kits and tranny coolers....is it necessary to even have a tranny cooler with just the shift kit and no stall??
