Battery for an 01’ GT

What is the best battery to buy or does it really even matter? I hear the optima red top is the best but i also hear they all are pretty much the same and not to waste mymoney. Any opinions?</P>

All the same plain Joe...no diff, only price..it matters when you heavily mod your car, i.e. for racing..</P>

buy the one with the most amps you can afford and put it in trunk

Put it in the right rear of the trunk, it'll help with weight transfer for some traction <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

I've found Interstate batteries to work best for me.

odd...I never had luck with them for some reason.....nothing like 40# over the right rear and 40 off the left front

i bought the cheapest "economy" battery from advance for my z28 when I got it and its been the best battery i've ever had...it was like $25

I always found interstae to be really dependable. My car sat there forthree mounths until i got my new motor done. And it started right up. When i was done.
