I believe it's 450 lbs torque, probably the same hp.

The cobra's T56 can take a lot of hp & torque. 700+, without issues, for the most part. The clutch is the weak link. It can't take much more than 500rwhp for extended periods of time, depending how the driver uses it.

There's an article in the new 5.0 with an 04 Cobra pushing 808rwhp and 764ft-lbs of torque through the tranny with no problems. Like mentioned above, the only problems they claimed to have had was the clutch slipping, so that seems to be the weak spot.

I dont think its a matter so much as how much torque/hp the t-56 can handle. It's more how the driver uses it. eg: powershifting, missing gears... too much of that it wond hold up as long as it should.
