215hp 96-97 and 225hp in 98?

215hp 96-97 and 225hp in 98?
Does anyone know why the hp increased by 10 in 1998? Is there a part off a 98 i can find in a junk yard and put on my 97 for cheep? I'm always tryin to save a few bucks

I think it had something to do with the way the computer in the 98 cars were tuned.

Hmmm... maybe. I don't think I can swap out the computer that easily. I hate wireing. All I have found online so far is that there were "revisions to the 4.6". Whatever that means.

I think the 98's were just tweaked and tuned alittle more and the forced about 10hp out of it.

Im pretty sure the exhaust was different in 98 too, specifically the headers.

The exhaust was different of the 98's, plus a little better tune.

Ok so possibly could swap out headers? probably not worth the effort. Might as well wait for the money for long tubes.

The tune was revised in 1998 and the cat back was bumped to 2.5"
