IAC is next to your intake plenum. Has a hose coming out of it. Spray some carb cleaner in it.

Well it should clean it and not make it idle so wildly. I've never heard of a gt idling at 1700 rpms though so your tps could be the problem.

I was leaning more towards that. it should be a code if you check it at like autozone or something. it will say tps reading high.

alright well my CHECK ENgine light is on so could that be the code telling my TPS is to high? also what does TPS stand for and how do you adjust it?

actually in every tps problem i've seen there is no check engine light it just idles high and when you let off the brake it takes off on it's on shifting and everything. LOL. the check engine light will be emissions related that's mostly all check engine lights deal with is emissions. I'd take it to the local parts store and check your codes.

Lol that'd be a hell of a lot of fabrication. You'd have to have two intake manifolds...unheard of! Would be sweet to see though.

ive seen it in a truck. it was a twin blower truck. looked really cool. had 2 big blowers sticking out of the hood. it was on a dodge dakota at the carlile show.

if it reads high then you need another one. you can't adjust it it's a sensor that tells the engine how far the throttle is open.
