Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials
ok i need new tires and ive been thinking about getting the Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials. i was going to get just a pair for the back and then goodyears of kumhos for the front...but my dad said i shouldnt mix tires and should just get all 4 of something...and he traditionally knows more than me lol. what would i be better off doing? also...does anyone know the specs on them...like the treadwear number, traction rating, etc.
right now im looking at some kumhos if i dont get them with treadwear rating of 420 i belive, traction AA and temperature A...i think.
any help is greatly appreciated...i need to get this done like this week...my tires...especially the fronts...are BALD. thank you in advance.

well... those DR's will last i think around 5-6000 miles which is nothing for a tire and if your pretty much stock, i would suggest against it. id go with like some 245 kumho's like what your looking at or get some goodyear G force sports or some performance tire in stock size. i ran the G force sports and they did good when i was n/a but now they are crap. they are hard to bark when they are new which is a good thing.. haha. you may want to look into something with like a 340-380 treadware... 420 is pretty high and the tire isnt as sticky so it means less traction.

well the only tires that mickey thompson makes for the front are skinnies... The tires your getting are specifically disigned for the rear. If i were you i would just get some all season tires for the front.

As much as I hate Nitto drag radials, they might be a good choice for you, they last around 15000-20000 miles if you are gentle on them. BTW in this case your dad is wrong, if want good traction you need a drag radial in the back and it's fine to a regular radial on the front. You could put the Nitto 555R (drag radial) on back and the regular 555 up front if you want to keep the old man happy.

those MT's will last more than 6K miles,
ive got nearly 3 and im not showing any tread wear yet, so, its all about how you drive
and they are very sticky tires, just have to know how to drive on them to make them last
