Rear Bearing Replace?

RE: Rear Bearing Replace?
the wheel bearings arent at all hard to replace. Take the wheel off. Take the hub off. pound the bearing out(you really need a slide hammer and a bearing puller for this. Autozone, pepboys etc will rent you one for free tho!). Pound the new bearing in. put hub back on. put wheel back on. You could do both sides in under an hour and a half if its your first time.
tools needed:
Jack, Jack Stands
big socket wrench
Big Socket (for the hub)(i dont remember what size. pull the wheel off to find out)
Bearing puller w/ slide hammer (free to rent at auto store)
Grease
Parts needed:
Bearings
Bearing Seals (replace these too to ensure proper seal/no leak.
this is probably about as easy as changing your oil.
p.s. do both sides. if one is going the other isnt far behind.

RE: Rear Bearing Replace?
on the rear you have to yank the axles out and unless you ahve a fully equiped shop i don't see it beign done in under 1 hour. its nothign hard just a few steps to take. one take the wheel off take the break calipers off then pull the rotors off then take the take the parking breaks off then remove the diffy cover take the c clips out slide the axes out then replace bearings. believe it or not easyer on a 1 tone truck you could probably do it under 1 hour.
