Hahaha I bet your 2 feet were faster than his TBI 305. Those things are absolute TURDS!

Do you plan on doing any modifications?

Congrats on the car! I've had a '98 GT for a couple years & she's been a total dream. Not a single problem, except for a $60. pinion seal that I replaced when I bought her. She's almost got 100K on her now & still runs like she's new. Hope you have the same luck with yours!

I took mine from Nashville to Bradenton, FL & back last fall (1,400 mi.) & she never missed a beat. I ran her 95 & up everywhere except through GA & drove straight through both ways. Even when I hit Atlanta during rush hour on the way back & had to sit on the clutch for 3 freaking hours, she was perfect. I was hotter than hell, but the 'stang was fine.

Texas to NY is a long haul. I drove from Dallas to Nashville a few years ago - straight I-40, pouring rain the entire way & nothing but semis everywhere. It's not a trip I'll be repeating soon, that's for sure.

When do you leave for Afghanistan?
