Anybody know how to get that plastic honeycomb out of the hood scoop? im wanting to replace it with a chrome piece thats on ebay

Most of the time the chrome pieces just go in front of the honeycomb. Post up the link to the chrome piece so we can see it.

I think:
Pop hood -> take off heat shield -> unbolt the 6 or so bolts holding the hood scoop on -> flip the hoodscoop over -> unbolt 2 or 3 bolts holding the honeycomb panel inplace -> bolt the new piece on -> put it back on the hood -> rebolt it -> put heatshield back on -> close hood

Get a pair of pliers and tug hard. It will pop right out!
