So it comes with software when you buy it, but if you want the professional one it's $299?

You have the option to download the Xtreme Tuner software for free from the SCT website, Xtreme Tuner and LiveLink ( datalogging software ) are free for download. The Xtreme Tune software has the same adjustment options as the handheld itself, no more no less, but it sure does beat scrolling through the damn thing. The downside to Xtreme Tune is that if you end up using it, you will LOSE the ability to make adjustments via handheld to the tune you mess with. That is why i would get the Pro Racer upgrade, you can make as many tunes as you please without losing functionality of the handheld.

Oh, I get it. So the Xtreme tuner is the same exact thing as the tuner itself, but you will not be able to handheld tune the car if you do it that way. But the Pro version has better tuning options so you can make the car EXACTALLY how you want it. Well the SCT still wins in my book because even if I don't get the pro software right away I always can when/if I decide to. So it seems like the SCT is a pretty good tuner. Do I have my info correct?

Wow a predator is so much easier and less confusing. You buy it, plug it in, and choose your options.

The SCT is the same way. But you can get more advanced if you want to. Thats the good part.

Its the EXACT same software the dealers use, the only difference is the Pro Racer version is only licensed to one vehicle at a time, while the actually dealer software has no such vehicle restrictions.
